Dzhangar is a partner in Dentons’ Moscow office and head of Russia Tax and Customs practice. He primarily focuses on tax litigation. Between 2007-2018 Dzhangar handled over 1000 court cases including before the Supreme Arbitration Court. In addition, he provided full support in a considerable number of tax disputes settled at pre-trial stages. Dzhangar also advises on various aspects of taxation, including drafting internal policies to prevent tax risks (regarding suppliers, marketing, and others), analyzing contracts for tax risks, and verifying tax accounting in order to reveal potential tax assessments and overpayments.

Boris Bruk is counsel in Dentons’ Moscow office. He specializes in general corporate and international tax law and has considerable experience in advising on tax aspects of corporate restructurings. In particular, Boris advises clients on tax structuring in connection with financing joint ventures in Russia, cross border transactions, and inbound and outbound investments. His work has involved the development of tax-efficient personal and corporate holding structures and the structuring of financing and IP holding activities, as well as counselling with regard to the mitigation of identified tax exposures. Boris’ background also includes IPO-related tax consulting services.

Galina heads the customs law group in the Russian Tax and Customs practice. She has more than 20 years of experience advising on all aspects of customs regulation, including audit of foreign trade and customs transactions by participants in foreign trade; assisting with customs inspections; structuring import/export deals; due diligence and recommendations on drafting foreign trade contracts and contracts with suppliers of customs services; advising on goods classification, customs value, country of origin, the use of different customs procedures and customs incentives; negotiations with the customs authorities at various levels; appealing decisions of the customs authorities, supporting equipment import deals, providing foreign trade participants with practical assistance in preparing documents for customs clearance and other issues of customs regulation.

Valentin is an of counsel in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. He focuses in advising on Russian tax law, as well as in representing companies in complicated tax disputes. Valentin participates in projects that cover tax aspects of fields such as construction and development, telecommunications, retail, automotive, pharma and others. Before joining Dentons Valentin was involved in tax audit and tax due diligence projects.

Alexei Matveev is an of counsel in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. Alexei focuses on advising on international and Russian tax law. He has extensive experience advising on the organization and conduct of tax due diligence of a transaction target taking into account possible specific industrial/operating risks, developing proposals on how to structure transactions (including foreign jurisdictions), analyzing the tax implications of sale and purchase agreements and developing proposals to carry out corporate restructuring of the target, as well as analyzing whether the tax assumptions of transactions’ financial models are correct.

Anna Zvereva is an of counsel in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. Her particular areas of focus are tax advising for industrial enterprises, trade organizations and companies specializing in intellectual property, as well as international groups (VAT, profit tax including tax accounting issues, payroll taxes, regional and local taxes and the application of double tax treaties). She handles projects involving the tax aspects of restructuring business in the Russian Federation; tax advising on all types of deals, including deals for sale and purchase of a business; Tax Due Diligence; drafting proposals to amend tax laws; and advising on accounting in accordance with Russian accounting standards.

NATALIA KIDRYAEVA
Natalia Kidryaeva is a senior associate in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. Natalia focuses on customs advising for international and Russian companies, namely: customs audit, customs structuring of import-export activities, communicating with the customs authorities (drafting applications and appeals, preparing presentations for discussion with the customs authorities, etc.), advising on customs valuation and goods classification, customs advising on specific transactions, and advising on restrictions and prohibitions on import/export (licensing, certification, export controls).

NIKOLAI ROUDOMANOV
Nikolai Roudomanov is a senior associate in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. He focuses on international corporate and individual taxation. Nikolai has considerable experience advising major Russian and international companies in the industrial and financial sectors, supporting international tax audits and advising family offices and private clients with structuring their asset holding in various jurisdictions.

KRISTINA BALEVA
Kristina Baleva is an associate of Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. Kristina specializes in advising Russian and international companies on customs regulation, namely, analysis of future transactions and contracts (both concluded and in the process of being concluded) for possible customs risks, and efficient use of the permissible customs tools, preparing recommendations on how to apply customs procedures (temporary import, processing in/outside of the customs territory, customs warehouse, customs transit, etc.), measures of customs tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign trade, assisting in challenging decisions of the customs authorities (customs value, classification code) and in obtaining preliminary decisions on the classification of goods.

ANNA KNELZ
Anna Knelz is an associate of Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. Anna focuses on representing clients in tax disputes, assisting in office and field tax audits, and advising on Russian tax law. Anna has experience providing Russian and international companies with tax advice, on taxation of foreign investments and tax structuring of transactions. Before joining Dentons Anna also participated in projects touching on the application of CFC rules, and tax and currency residency.

MARIA KOCHUBEI
Maria is an associate in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. She focuses on international transfer pricing, in particular, analyzing and developing the three-tiered transfer pricing reporting structure. Her experience includes projects for (1) preparing the master file for companies represented in more than 30 countries, (2) local files for Russia, the US, EU and Southeast Asian countries, and Country-by-Country reports (“CbCR”) according to the rules in effect in Russia and the US.

ANTON NOVAK
Anton is an associate of Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. He focuses on advising international and Russian companies of the retail, consumer goods manufacturing and industrial manufacturing sectors on corporate taxation. He has participated in projects for mandatory and voluntary audit of companies in which he also analyzed the international aspects of taxation and the tax implications of intragroup transactions. Anton also has experience with pre-trial appeal of the tax authorities’ decisions.

ALISA PENDYURINA
Alisa focuses on transfer pricing. She has extensive experience handling projects to develop transfer pricing methodologies and to prepare documentation substantiating market price conformity in various types of transactions (including transactions within Russia and foreign goods trade and services transactions, intragroup financing, borrowing, making deposits, granting rights to use intangible assets, etc.). She also has experience identifying existing transfer pricing risks and developing proposals to minimize them, including by using the mechanism of independent and symmetrical adjustments. She has handled the preparation of country-by-country reporting, including local files and master files.

OLGA POLOVTSEVA
Olga Polovtseva is manager of the tax accounting group of Dentons’ Russia Tax and Customs practice. Olga’s focus is advising on general Russian tax law and on doing accounting for representative offices of foreign companies in the Russian Federation, preparing tax and other returns for legal entities and individuals. She has considerable experience advising major Russian and international companies on a wide range of issues of applying tax law, practical experience assisting clients in desk and field tax audits, and also representing clients, including building their position, in complex tax disputes.

IRINA KURGINA
Irina Kurgina is a specialist in the tax accounting group of Dentons’ Russia Tax and Customs practice. She focuses on advising on general Russian tax law and tax accounting. Irina has experience advising major Russian and international companies on a wide range of issues of applying tax law and handling tax accounting for representative offices of foreign companies in Russia. Irina also has experience preparing tax and other returns for legal entities and individuals. Her experience includes successfully representing clients in desk and field tax audits.

IVAN KORESHKOV
Ivan is an associate in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. He focuses on international tax law, Russian tax law and M&A transactions. Ivan previously completed an internship at Pepeliaev Group, worked at Alstom Atomenergomash as a lawyer, and held the position of paralegal in the IP department at Atomenergomash.

ANDREI GULYA
Andrei is a paralegal in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. He focuses on Russian tax law and litigation. Andrei previously worked in the law firm «Delovoi farvater» as a paralegal and lawyer.

LIDIA CHARIKOVA
Lidia has more than 15 years’ experience advising on domestic and international taxation matters in various economic sectors, as well as practical experience representing taxpayers in litigation with the tax authorities. Her main focuses are international tax structuring; private wealth; tax support for private-public partnership projects, capital markets projects and M&A transactions; and tax litigation support. Lidia has been recognized as a leading tax lawyer by international publications such as Chambers Europe, The Legal 500 and Best Lawyers.

ALINA BONDAREVA
Alina is a junior associate in Dentons’ Russian Tax and Customs practice. She focuses on Russian tax law and representing companies in tax disputes. Before joining Dentons Alina worked in Big Four companies.
